This will depend on the sector you are working in. The hours will be variable and the ability to be flexible will be of high importance.
Do I need a SIA License to work for Opal Security Ltd.?
Yes, you require either a SIA license in Door Supervision or Close Protection.
Can I choose to work part time or have a temporary employment?
Yes, this will depend on the positions available at the time.
Do I work in a team with other colleagues or alone?
This will depend on the manner of the security work you are doing. Some will require independent work whereas there will be other positions where you will have to work in a team.
What is Opal Security Ltd.’s recruitment process?
Apply for a position by sending us your CV and filling in the vacancies form (can be found on www.opalsecurity.com). All appointments are subject to being able to satisfactorily complete a 5 year security screening requirement to comply with BS7858. This requires your personal data to be checked for the purpose of this security screening. You will also be subject to a credit reference check. If you are successful, you will be invited to an interview. We will then contact you informing you of our decision.
What type of documents do I need to bring to the interview?
You must provide documents to prove your:
Current address; for example your passport or photographic driving license (both parts)
A utility bill which is not less than 3 months old.
Date of Birth; birth certificate or any other form of official documentation which can confirm this.
